Biography :
Originally from the Akron, Ohio area, Karen moved to Florida in 1985. After 25+ years in business in Florida, Karen returned to a lifetime path of personal enrichment that led her to earn her certification as a Holistic Health Counselor. She initiated the Plant City, FL, Local Harvest Market, has served on two advisory boards for local income challenged families, acted as the Garden Steps Coordinator, a program of the Tampa Bay Coalition of Community Gardens, and also guided a pilot program at a Tampa Elementary school actively blending gardening with their STEM curriculum. In 2012 she co-founded the non-profit, Plant City Commons Community Garden and actively managed it until her move to Etowah, Tennessee in May, 2023. She is a passionate advocate for living an energized, vibrant, happy, healthy and organic life. “I bring a wealth of life experience to my Real Estate career. I chose to live in East Tennessee because it offers a diversity of weather, beauty, resources, and provides an economy of living in nature’s luxury.”
